Prashant had acquired a cast iron 350 Bullet and Karan had bought another Thunderbird with me. Both Silver. A 4 person tent, A kerosene stove, #Cramster soft luggage to store the bulky winter jackets for the Himalayas, denim jackets for the plains, Helmets and gloves, puncture kit, Tire tubes clutch cables, spark plugs and we were off the next morning.(the sleeping bags were to be bought at Manali)

The Rohtang pass, highest motor able road in the world. Pav's idea, when he had presented it, met zero resistance from me. The thrill alone was the reason for it all. We decide to ride from Mumbai to Kahrdungla and end at Jammu. Very ambitious. The Rohtang pass is cleared late june and we camped below Rohtang for a night and rode across the next morning.
